But let’s spend no more time on these cheap puns and look down this list flush with artists singing about how they came by it, what they plan to do with it – or merely what they know about dough………….

Buddy Can you spare a Dime

they all have money in them, or am I digressing slightly?

worse still I’m now trying to remember who did the original of Money that the Beatles sung on an early album. The name’s on the tip of my tongue but can’t quite get it, maybe Barrett Strong or something like that, but I ain’t gonna cheat and look it up, so I guess it’s gonna bug me a while

      Hi Barry

No problem with digressing – and yes it was Barrett Strong. I was taken to ask for not stating this, my thinking being The Beatles version was better known.

In terms of digression, I had ‘If Dirt Were Dollars’ (Don Henley), ‘Billion Dollar Babies’ (Alice Cooper) and a few others that slip my mind noted down, should not enough ‘Money’ titles finish the list.

‘A Change is Gonna Come’ – I’ve just got it!!

      Be safe and well
      Regards
      Neil
