    Oops. You forgot about The Bends by Radiohead. A spectacular effort and one of the great albums of the last 20 years in mine – and a lot of other people’s opinions. Better than a couple of the albums on the list and, as much as I love them, I’m not really sure the Neil Young, John Lennon and Paul Simon albums should qualify being that they’d already had massive hits with their previous bands.

      Hello Kenny – hope you well; I thought at the time entering John Lennon, Paul Simon and Neil Young might be a bit contentious for the reasons you state and on the same grounds I left off Rumours, which was the second album by that incarnation of the band, but as a whole Mac were a long way into their history. Having said that Lennon, Simon and Young were carving out new careers as solo artists so using that criteria I included them. But thanks for your comments – I appreciate you taking the time to write.
